In the maratime's, they are predicting heave snowfall and blizzard type conditions. In the prairies, its going to be solid ground across because they are supposed to have one of the coldest springs they have ever seen in their region. This Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures will be 18-20 degrees colder than usual in the prairies. A lot of the snow plowing will have continue in these provinces. For Easter Nunavut, most of Newfoundland and eastern Nova Scotia, they will see warmer then normal spring months. As for Western Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Labrador, southern Quebec and eastern Ontario, they will see average temperatures in the upcoming months.
One thing to look forward to according to Phillips, is that we will see 4 extra minutes of sunlight everyday.
For myself, the news of a longer winter does not affect me in either way, although I like to be able to ride my bike and enjoy the outdoors more, I also don't mind the snow because it reminds me of winter. It is scary to think of how much our climate is changing and it should make us all more aware of global warming, It should warn us of how important it is to change our living habits. Our world is causing too much harm to the environment and these changes in climate and routine should be a wake up call for all of us to be more environmentally friendly.
