Man Charged for Murder in Shootout

Toronto school was killed in a shootout on Yonge street. A police officer was at a store across the road. The police officer took his turn in the witness booth. Const. Brian Callanan said that he heard the shooting between the two gangs from across the road and he ran to investigate what was going on. A man who is known as J.S.R was charged for killing the 15 year old. In the process, he wounded 6 other holiday shoppers. Callanan was at Sam the Record Man store working as a duty officer to ensure extra protection during boxing day. When they heard the gunshots, Callanan said there was instant panic amongst all those in the store. Most people hit the floor for safety, some tried to flee the store. Out on the street, Callanan recalls at least 200 people in the streets were scurrying try to get away from all the chaos. He heard at least 8 gunshots. Callanan radioed his station then ran to Creba laying there on Yonge Street. At the time of the murder, the suspect was a young offender. 7 other men are facing charges as well.

The way I see it, a 15 year old girl should never die from gunshot or from anything at all. Seeing us lose such an innocent, young soul is heartbreaking. Gangs and violence is something that we as nation can't accept, it has to be a priority to solve the crimes that occur due to gang activity. So many people, such as Creba lose their life because of gang activity. We have to prevent this from happening and we have to stand up to the gangs. Now I realize this isn't an easy task but we must fight it and work our hardest as a criminal system to eliminate deaths such as the one of Jane Creba.

I agree, the government has to do something about the everyday violence that many gangs are bringing to our nation. Especially the fact that in this whole process a 15 year old girl was murdered along with 6 others who were just out holiday shopping on Boxing Day. The government has to try and stop the violence in this nation or else the violence will continue and grow.

I personally think that gang violence has gone on way to long. Something needs to be done about it or else incidences such as this are going to continue to happen. I agree with what Rory said, it's not an easy task, but innocent people can't continue to die because of it. For a 15 year old girl to die because of gang violence is crazy! It's one thing to fight against each other, but to take the lives of innocent people is not acceptable. Why are we continuing to let this happen? Like Rory said, stopping this needs to be a top priority. I honestly hope that this never happens again.
