Teen Fears for Safety After Alleged Kidnapping

Seasons Motor Inn in BC where alleged
assault occurred.
The boy's family who was kidnapped is scared for their safety after their son was alledgedly held at gunpoint in a motel two weeks prior. The woman of the son is saying that 2 teenagers kidnapped her 17 year-old son and locked him in a motel room in Halifax. Two teenagers have been arrested as suspects of the kidnapping. The boy who was kidnapped claims they were violent with him and forced him to give them money and possesions from his home. According to the mother, the boy has not returned to school in fear of the incident that recently occured. "He is too intimidated and fearful to come back," stated the mother. A day after the alleged kidnapping, the RCMP arrested an 18 year-old boy. The RCMP were also looking for a 17 year-old who ended up showing up in a regional hospital to treat wounds on his head. The suspect was treated then arrested for multiple charges. To this point, none of the charges have been proven in court.

The mother of the alleged kidnapped boy says that the two teens who were arrest are well known members of the community. The mother has since quit her job and she is rarely at her home in fear of it repeating itself. He is a successful students with a lot friend but has since been removed from any contact with any of his peers.

The mother had to convince her boy to go to the police. She feels that the police get a bad rap because a lot of witnesses don't step forward in fear f being hurt. The two suspects have a bail hearing and the mother fears of their return to the community. She said that when they are allowed back in the community until trial, it really forces her and her son out of the community because of fear.

I feel this is a story no one should have to hear because they shouldn't happen in today's society. Teenage boys should not kidnap other teenage boys and threaten them for their lives. You would never expect such young humans to have the cruel capability of wanting to kill and strike fear in the eyes of those who are vulnerable. I hope the two kids do not get granted bail because it is not fair to the victim and his mother.
