Osama Bin Laden Dead Announced Dead

Osama Bin Laden
Osama Bin Laden who was #1 on USA's most wanted list, was killed by a barrage of US special forces on May 1st, 2011. We are under the impression that he ordered the attacks on New York and Washington on September 11th, 2001. On top of that, it is believed that he is accountable for numerous other deadly bombings. After doing a DNA test of the dead body, they are "99.9%" that the body shot in the head was Osama Bin Laden. After being declared "deceased", the forces took his body to the north Arabian sea and had a traditional Muslim burial for him. Then they dropped him in the sea afterwords. The US has raised warning around the world so that every body is prepared in the case of the al- Qaeda creating a reprisal attack for the killing of Bin Laden. CIA director, Leon Panetta said they will almost definitely try and seek revenge for his death.

Bin Laden was 54 years of age, he approved the 9/11 bombings that killed nearly 3,000 innocent citizens. He has resisted the US for over a decade even though they have offered 25 million for him. After resisting, the US officials, they shot him twice in the head. The team in charge was said to be the Elite Navy Seal Team Six. The raid lasted about 40 minutes. The US said that they were ready to take Bin Laden in alive but he did not cooperate so plans changed. 4 other people were killed in the raid, one of which was Bin Laden's son.

The compound where he was living was only hundreds of metres from a the Pakistan Military Academy. This will not serve well for the country because not only was he in Pakistan but very close to a military academy. The US did not notify Pakistan until after they were in the air. They will investigate to see who Bin Laden had working for him to help support him for so long. Cheers in the US went up at ground zero and outside the White House. In Pakistan, a crowd of 100 gathered and burned a US flag.

This day is one that we as a world will remember, the operator of the 9/11 attack has now been killed. Death is not something many people celebrate, but in the US and in Pakistan, they feel the need to with this because it is seeking revenge for an individual who ordered the death of thousands of people. Many people were affected by 9/11 and they look at this as payback. I think this also means the US has to be careful because it may provoke some people in the Taliban to do some horrible things. Hopefully it sends a message to them that this whole chaotic event needs to come to an end.
